Centurion, Feb 17 (IBNS): Dominating Virat Kohli smashed 35th century of his career as his 129 runs knock helped India beat South Africa by eight wickets in the sixth ODI match of the series here on Friday.

After bowlers bowled out South Africa for 204 runs, Indian batsmen played with ease to reach 206 runs by losing two wickets.

Kohli smashed 19 boundaries and two sixes in his 96-ball unbeaten knock.

India earlier lost the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan (18) and Rohit Sharma (15), but Ajinkya Rahane (34*) and Kohli took guard of the fort since that moment and ensured a victory for the visitors.

Lungi picked up wickets of both Indian openers.

Earlier, Shardul Thakur took four wickets and other bowlers too joined the party as India bowled out South Africa in just 46.5 overs.

Apart from Thakur,  Yuzvendra Chahal (2/38) and Kuldeep Yadav (1/51) shared three wickets between them while Jasprit Bumrah picked up two South African wickets.

Zondo top-scored for the hosts with his 54 runs.
