Vijender Singh makes pro boxing debut with a win over Sonny Whiting

London, Oct 10 (IBNS): Indian boxer Vijender Singh made a strong start to his professional career as he defeated Sonny Whiting of Britain on Saturday.

Manchester Arena witnessed Singh beating his opponent via a technical knockout in the middleweight pro bout.

Singh is a former Olympic medalist.

He had become India's first Olympic and World Championships medallist.
