Mumbai/IBNS: Barring Rashid Khan's late heroics, it was a day for India's T20 batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav, who slammed a tonne to clinch a victory in the must-win game for Mumbai Indians against Indian Premier League (IPL) table topper Gujarat Titans here on Friday.

An unbeaten 103 off 49 balls by Suryakumar swept Gujarat out of the park for the first half of the match setting 219 as target for the visitors. Mumbai scored 218/5 in 20 overs.

Impressed by his batting, cricket legend and MI mentor Sachin Tendulkar revealed the shot of Suryakumar which he liked the most.

Tendulkar tweeted, ".@surya_14kumar lit up the evening sky today! He played excellent shots through the innings but the one that stood out for me was the 6 over third man off @MdShami11.

"The way he opened the face of the bat to create that angle off the blade at the same time is very very tough to do and not many batters in world cricket can play that shot."

Chasing the mammoth target, Gujarat lost their rhythm right at the start getting reduced to 55/5 at one stage to finally score 191/8 in 20 overs.

Gujarat somehow avoided a defeat by a huge margin courtesy Rashid Khan's heroism towards the end as the Afghan allrounder slammed unbeaten 79 off 32 balls hitting three fours and 10 sixes.
