Mumbai, Feb 2 (IBNS) Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has been named the skipper of new IPL team The Gujarat Lions.

"Our Pride of Lions will be led by none other than @ImRaina! Give our skipper a huge roar," the side tweeted.

The new IPL side will feature in the upcoming edition of the IPL this year.

Suresh Raina recently played for India in the T20 series against Australia.
