Steve Smith smashes 131 as Australia post 286/9 against India in third ODI

Bengaluru/IBNS: Steve Smith continued his strong run with the bat and smashed 131 runs as Australia posted 286 runs for the loss of nine wickets against India in the crucial third ODI match of the tournament here on Sunday.

After losing quick wickets, Smith took charge of the innings and stabilised the proceedings.

Smith hammered 14 boundaries and a six in his innings.

Marnus Labuschagne, who is one of the rising stars in Australia, also added 54 runs with his willow.

Carey contributed 35 runs at the end.

Bumrah remained economical and gave away only 38 runs in his 10 overs. Mohammed Shami picked up four wickets but gave away 63 runs in his quota.

The series is currently leveled at 1-1.
