Sri Lanka announces squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2017

Colombo, Apr 24 (IBNS): Angelo Mathews has been named as the skipper of the Sri Lankan squad which will play the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Sri Lanka Cricket named their squad for the tournament on Monday.

Full squad given below:

Angelo Mathews – Captain, 2. Upul Tharanga – Vice Captain, 3. Niroshan Dickwella, 4. Kusal Janith Perera, 5. Kusal Mendis, 6. Chamara Kapugedera, 7. Asela Gunaratne, 8. Dinesh Chandimal, 9. Lasith Malinga, 10. Suranga Lakmal, 11. Nuwan Pradeep, 12. Nuwan Kulasekera, 13. Thisara Perera, 14. Lakshan Sandakan, 15. Seekkuge Prasanna

The Squad will depart for Kandy on the 9th of May for a six-day residential high intensity and altitude training programme and are due to depart the island on May 18.

England and Wales will host the tournament this year form June 1-18.
