Shikhar Dhawan's 51 help India post 196/6 against Sri Lanka

Ranchi, Feb 12 (IBNS): Riding on Shikhar Dhawan's 51-runs knock, India posted 196 runs for the loss of six wickets in the second T20 match against Sri Lanka here on Friday.

Dhawan and Rohit Shar,a (43) posted 75 runs in the first wicket stand which created a platform for the remaining batsmen to set a competitive score against Sri Lanka.

Dhawan hit seven boundaries and two sixes in his knock.

Suresh Raina (30), Ajinkya Rahane (25)  and young Hardik Pandya (27)  made some crucial contributions with their willows.

Playing in his town, skipper MS Dhoni smashed a  boundary in his unbeaten 5-ball 9 runs knock.

Dushmantha Chameera took two wickets for  Sri Lanka.

The visitors are 1-0 up int he series.
