Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb help Australia draw third Test against India

Ranchi, Mar 20 (IBNS): Australia fought strongly in a match where India was slowly putting its strong grip as Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb battled heroically at the middle of the crease to manage a draw in the third Test match of the series here on Monday.

Shaun Marsh  (53)  and Peter Handscomb (72) kept India's hopes of winning the third match of the series away as they battled hard to manage a draw and keep the series levelled at 1-1.

Australia finished off the day's play at 204 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja tried to put some pressure on the opponents by picking up four wickets.

Ishant Sharma and R Ashwin picked up a wicket each.

Both the sides displayed strong performance to present spectacular moments for spectators even as the Test finished without producing any result.

The last Test  match of the series will be played in Dharmasala.
