Rockhampton, Queensland, Jun 6 (IBNS) : Tennis legend Rod Lever on Monday, congratulated French Open winner Novak Djokovic, post his win on Sunday.

Novak, by virtue of his french open win, completed a career slam and presently holds all the major trophy at once.

Laver, who too had the same distinction of keeping the major titles all at once, shared his message through a video clip.

The clip posted by the Australian Open committee on their official Twitter page says, "Congratulations Novak on a great effort and winning all four major titles. I just wish you all the best in the future with your matches in the Wimbledon and at the US Open."

The current world number one is deemed as one the best athlete in the world presently.

Novak also recorded his 12th Grand Slam Singles win on Sunday.

In 2015, he won all the three major slams, Australian Open, The Wimbledon and The US Open, however, a defeat in the finals of the French Open barred him from completing a Career Slam and a Calendar Slam.

With a win in both Australian Open and the French Open, the Serbian is in line for a Calendar Slam, if he manages to emulate his form in the remaining two Grand Slams, the Wimbledon and The US Open later this year.
