R Ashwin hits century as India set 482 runs target for England to win second Chennai Test

Chennai: All-rounder R Ashwin showed his skills with the willow on Monday when he scored a heroic 106 runs that helped India reach a comfortable position in the second Test against England here.

England now need 482 runs to win the second match of the series.

Ashwin hammered 14 boundaries and a six in his charismatic knock.

Skipper Virat Kohli added 62 runs.

India took a massive lead of 482 runs after being bowled out for 286 in the second innings.

R Ashwin is playing a memorable match as he picked up five opponents wickets in the first innings.

England is currently leading the series 1-0.
