Dubai, Mar 3 (IBNS): Injury has cut short West Indian pacer Jofra Archer's run for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League.

He could only play two out of four games due to side strain.

"Speed sensation Jofra Archer waves goodbye. Sad he could only play 2 out of 4 matches due to side strain. See you soon JOF!!! #Zordaar11,"  Quetta Gladiators tweeted.

With less than a month left for IPL to start, Rajasthan Royals might be in tough times if the young pacer could not feature in the tournament.

He was a major buy for the cub this year.

The Rajasthan based franchise  shelled out a whopping Rs 7.2 crore to buy the pacer.

Jofra Archer showed good form and  ended with figures of   2/30 and 3/23 in the two matches of PSL he played.
