Narendra Modi congratulates Vishwanathan Anad for winning World Chess Championship

New Delhi, Dec 29 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Viswanathan Anand on winning World Rapid Chess Championship.

PM said, " Congratulations Viswanathan Anand .You have proven your mettle time and again. Your tenacity inspires us. India is proud of your exemplary success at the World Rapid Chess Championship."

Indian Chess grand master Viswanathan Anand defeated arch rival and reigning champion Magnus Carlsen to lift up of World Rapid Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday.

The Indian grand master registered his win in 34 moves.
