Dharamsala, Dec 10 (IBNS): Indian batsman MS Dhoni showed his cool temper and fighting spirit once again as he smashed 65 runs to help India post 112 runs against Sri Lanka in the first ODI of the series here on Sunday.

India displayed a poor show with the bat as it was only Dhoni who put up some amount of fight against the Sri Lankan bowling attack.

He smashed 10 boundaries and two sixes in his knock.

Apart from Dhoni, Hardik Pandya (10) and Kuldeep Yadav (19) joined the double figure mark.

The remaining of the line up surrendered to the Sri Lankan attack.

Suranga Lakmal picked up four wickets for Lanka.
