MS Dhoni completes 9000 runs in ODIs

Mohali, Oct 23 (IBNS): India's limited over's skipper MS Dhoni shined with his willow on Sunday as he completed 9000 runs in One-day Internationals during the third ODI against New Zealand.

He became the fifth Indian and third wicket-keeper to achieve the landmark.

Sachin Tendulkar (18,426 runs), Sourav Ganguly (11,363), Rahul Dravid (10,889) and Mohammad Azharuddin (9378) are the top four players in the elite club of over 9000 runs scorers in ODI.

Dhoni joined the club of wicket-keepers, who have touched glorious records on the field.

Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara (14234) and Australian Adam Gilchrist (9619) are ahead of the Indian skipper.
