Jwala-Ashwini reach Canada Open semis

Calgary, June 27 (IBNS): Indian badminton player Jwala Gutta and her doubles partner Ashwini Ponnappa has reached the semi-final of the Canada Open by beating Chan Kaka Tsz Ka and Yuen Sin Ying.

The Indian pair reached the last-four round by beating their opponents by 21-19, 21-13.

The contest lasted for 27 minutes.
