| @indiablooms | Sep 19, 2017, at 02:30 am
London, Sept 18 (IBNS): Jonny Bairstow is all set to open the innings for England during the first ODI against West Indies at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

"We feel Jonny deserves a chance. He's been waiting in the wings for quite a while," England captain Eoin Morgan was quoted as saying by BBC.

He said Jonny will open the English innings with Alex Hales.

"He will open with Alex Hales. This is an opportunity to make the opening position his," Morgan said.

England and West Indies will now fight for the ODI title after the Test and T20International series.

West Indies beat England in the T20 match on Saturday.
