IPL: Stephen Fleming to coach Pune Franchisee

Kolkata, Jan 11 (IBNS) Sanjiv Goenka, owner of Pune franchisee of IPL announced in Kolkata on Monday the signing of Stephen Fleming as the coach of the team for the upcoming IPL session which begins on Apr 9.

Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group said, "I warmly welcome Stephen Fleming as the Chief Coach. He has been remarkably successful as a player in the international arena and I firmly believe that his technical know how, perseverance and organisation skills will work wonders for our team.  I have tremendous faith in his leadership ability and believe that it would have a positive impact on our team members.”

In the interim December draft, Pune Franchisee selected players M S Dhoni, RavichandranAshwin, AjinkyaRahane, Faf du Plessis and Steve Smith.  The main auction is expected to happen on 6 February.
