IPL: Delhi Daredevils names Gautam Gambhir as skipper for upcoming season

New Delhi, Mar 7 (IBNS): Delhi Daredevils has named Gautam Gambhir as the skipper of the squad for the upcoming season of the IPL.

Gambhir was the skipper of IPL side  Kolkata Knight Riders.

He served the side as skipper for seven years.

Under his leadership, KKR won the title two times.

Gambhir had played for Delhi Daredevils for three years.

Gambhir tweeted: "Oh that feeling being a @DelhiDaredevils...again."

Speaking to media, Gambhir said: "The captain is as good as his team!"

Gambhir said he was excited that he was appointed as the skipper of the Delhi squad.
