IPL: Cutting, Yuvraj seal it for SRH, beat KXIP by 7 wickets

Mohali, May 15 (IBNS) Yuvraj Singh cut loose to score a 24-ball 42, helping his side SRH beat Kings Eleven by seven wickets in their own den, here on Sunday.

Chasing 180 for a win, Yuvraj smacked three sixes and an equal number of fours to parade on Punjab's chances.

Ben Cutting, who accompanied him in their 44-run partnership, played 11 balls for his 21 runs, hitting two sixes and a four.

Earlier, the Hyderabad franchise had a stable opening partnership of 68 runs.

Skipper david Warner scored 52, while Dhawan contributed with 25 runs.

Deepak Hooda too played a brisk innings of 34 runs facing 22 balls. He hit three boundaries and a six.

For the Punjab side, Hashim Amla missed out on a ton.

The South African batsman played 56 balls, hitting 14 fours and two maximums in his innings of 96.

The other batsmen got starts, but failed to rally beside him.

Bhuvi was the pick of the SRH bowlers, picking up two wickets, while Axar Patel put up a good performance for the Punjab franchise.
