IPL auctioneer Hugh Edmeades collapses, bidding halted

Bengaluru/IBNS: The players' auction for the 15th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) has been halted after auctioneer Hugh Edmeades collapsed on the stage.

Edmeades fell on the ground from the stage when the bidding for Sri Lankan cricketer Wanindu Hasaranga was underway.

All franchise owners were shocked when they heard a loud sound occur in the middle of the auction process.

Edmeades has been taken to a hospital, media reports said.

As per latest reports, Edmeades is now stable. 

The auction will resume at 3:30 pm.
