IPL 2023: SRH defeat PBKS by 8 wickets

Hyderabad/IBNS: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by eight wickets in the 14th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 144 set by PBKS, SRH reached home in 17.1 overs with eight wickets in hand.

Rahul Tripathi and skipper Aiden Markram remained unbeaten at 74 and 37 respectively.

Earlier, PBKS scored 143/9 in 20 overs.

On a day the Punjab batting collapsed, skipper Shikhar Dhawan rescued his team scoring 99 not out off 66 balls.

In a knock which almost single-handedly saved PBKS' grace, Dhawan slammed 12 fours and five sixes.
