IPL 2023: Mohsin Khan's tight last over bowling deny MI win over LSG

Lucknow/IBNS: Mohsin Khan's terrific last over bowling against T20 star batters Tim David and Cameron Green powered Lucknow Super Giants to clinch a thrilling five-run victory over Mumbai Indians here on Tuesday.

Batting first, Lucknow scored 177/3, thanks to Marcus Stoinis' unbeaten 89 off 47 balls. Stoinis slammed 4 fours and 8 sixes in his destructive innings.

Lucknow captain Krunal Pandya too contributed significantly with his 42-ball 49.

Chasing the target, Mumbai were on the way to breach the Lucknow score but things turned around after the visitors lost their first wicket in the form of skipper Rohit Sharma (37 off 25 balls).

Rohit was closely followed by Ishan Kishan, who hammered 59 off 39 balls, to the dugout.

With Mumbai's fall of wickets at regular intervals, Lucknow came back strong into the match but the win was ensured when Mohsin (1/26 in 3 overs) tamed David (unbeaten 32 off 19 balls) and Green (unbeaten 4 off 6 balls) in the last over.
