Ahmedabad/IBNS: A century by Shubman Gill and a four-wicket haul by Mohammed Shami powered Gujarat Titans to thrash Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 here on Monday.

Batting first, Gill's 101 comprising 13 fours and one six powered GT to score 188/9 in 20 overs.

After the early first wicket fall, Gill was supported by Sai Sudharshan who scored 47 off 36 balls.

The two built 147 in the second wicket partnership until SRH pulled things back by wiping the entire middle and lower-middle orders.

Apart from wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen (64 off 44 balls), none of the batters could step up to fulfill SRH's run chase as the visitors ended up scoring 154/9 in 20 overs.

A terrific bowling performance by Shami (4/20 in four overs) who also clinched the important wicket of Klaasen helped immensely to win the match for Hardik Pandya's side.
