IPL 2016 kicks off amid glam and gliteratti

Mumbai, Apr 8 (IBNS): The Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2016 on Friday opened amid much glamour and glitterati with Bollywood stars taking the enthusiasm a notch higher.
The opening ceremony of the 9th season of the cash rich tournament witnessed Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Dwayne Bravo and Jacqueline Fernandez enthralling the crowd with their sizzling performances.
 
Jacqueline kick started the ceremony with an extravagant act.
 
Reacting to the glamourous opening ceremony, cricketing star Virat Kohli tweeted: "Wooow what a night what fun of #IPLOpeningCeremony."
 
To set the temperature even higher, American electronic band Major Lazer also performed during the opening ceremony of 2016 ensuring they get the loudest cheer from the crowd.
 
The real action will begin from Saturday when Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Rising Pune Supergiants.
