India Women's Team win their second T20I against Australia by D/L method

Melbourne, Jan 29 (IBNS) The Indian Women's cricket team won their second T20I match by D/L method, thereby taking an unassailable lead against the home side Australia here on Friday.

Chasing a score of 126 in 18 overs, India were 69 for the loss of no wickets in 9.1 overs when rain played spoilsport, thus handing the Women in Blue a win.

For Australia, captain Meg Lanning scored 49 runs in 39 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes.

For India Jhulan Goswami, who was adjudged the performer of the match, picked up 2 wickets in his four overs while giving away 16 runs.

India's captain Mithali Raj remained unbeaten at 37 runs off 32 balls. Raj's knock consisted of 6 boundaries.
