Paris: India captain Harmanpreet Singh netted a crucial goal in the final minutes, securing a 3-2 victory for India over New Zealand in their Pool B match at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday.

After Sam Lane put New Zealand ahead, Mandeep Singh equalized for India.

Vivek Sagar Prasad then gave India the lead, but Simon Child levelled the score again.

Following their bronze medal success at Tokyo 2020, India faces a tough challenge to replicate their performance this year.

Alongside New Zealand, India is also grouped with Australia, Argentina, Belgium, and Ireland, all of whom are ranked among the top 11 teams in the world.
