India beat Australia by 31 runs in Adelaide

Adelaide, Dec 10 (IBNS): India defeated Australia by 31 runs in the first Test match at the Adelaide Oval here on Monday.

Chasing a target of 323, Australia were bowled out for 291 in the second innings.

In the first innings, Australia had scored 235 in reply to India's 250.

In the second innings, India scored 307.

Cheteshwar Pujara was the highest scorer in both the innings. He scored 123 and 71 in the two innings respectively.
