French Open: Li Na crashes out

| | May 28, 2014, at 03:31 am
Paris, May 27 (IBNS) Chinese Tennis star Li Na exited from the French Open by suffering a first round defeat at the hand of Kristina Mladenovic of France here on Tuesday.

The second was defeated by her opponent 7-5, 3-6, 6-1.

Expectations were high on the Chinese star after she won the Australian Open this year.

"Nobody says if you're No. 2 in the world you have to win all the matches. I mean, this is tennis. Everyone comes to the court, everyone has a chance to win the match. I think it doesn't matter who it was today against me, I still lost the match today, because I don't think she got a lot of pressure from me. I think today I gave the match away," Li Na was quoted as saying rolandgarros.com.

On Monday, the tournament had seen another major upset when  Stanislas Wawrinka crashed out after suffering a defeat at the hands of  Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
