First Test: India 404 in first innings against Bangladesh

Chattogram/IBNS: A late fifty by all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin and a 40 by bowler Kuldeep Yadav powered India to score 404 in the first innings of the inaugural Test against Bangladesh here on Thursday.

Ashwin scored 58 off 113 balls helping India to cross 400.

Kuldeep scored 40 off 114 balls.

Earlier, Cheteshwar Pujara scored 90 while Shreyas Iyer slammed 86, cementing India's position in the first Test after losing the One Day International (ODI) series.

Rishabh Pant had scored a quick of 46 off 45 balls.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam scalped four wickets each for Bangladesh.
