Djokovic beats Federer in marathon Wimbledon final

London, July 14 (IBNS): World Number 1 Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer 7-6(5), 1-6, 7-6(4), 4-6, 13-12(3) in a tie-breaker at the end of a marathon five-hour match at Wimbledon here on Sunday evening to win the title.

This is Djokovic's fifth Wimbledon title and 16th Grand Slam.

When asked how he managed to play such a long match at 37, Federer said: "I hope to inspire other 37 year-olds" drawing applause from the crowd.“Djokovic, 32, said this game, if not the best, was certainly among his top three great games.
