Delhi Dynamos FC signs Vinicius Ferreira de Souza

New Delhi, Sept 30 (IBNS) : Delhi Dynamos FC announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Ferreira de Souza on Wednesday at a press conference held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.

The announcement was made post the Delhi Dynamos training session at their home stadium. The entire team underwent this session under the guidance of marquee player manager Roberto Carlos.   

Vinicius has previously played for the Brazilian football club AA Ponte Preta. The 26-year old is known to have good speed, work rate, stamina and has cannon of a left foot. His distinctive style of cutting inside from the right onto his stronger left foot is similar to that of Arjen Robben.

Vinicius is amongst the world’s best footvolley player and has 6 Brazilian and 3 world titles in his credit.

Commenting on his inclusion in the Delhi squad, Vinicius said, ‘I am excited and motivated to join Delhi Dynamos. I think it’s a great opportunity and a new challenge for me to play in a completely new environment. Playing alongside Carlos will be an enriching experience and I look forward to play to the best of my ability.’

Roberto Carlos, marquee player manager Delhi Dynamos said, ‘Vinicius is a great addition to the team. He is exceptionally talented and his unique style of play is something to watch out for this season. Being an outstanding footvolley player, he brings with him speed, agility and accuracy which are required in the game of football.’
