CSK-MS Dhoni reunion possible in IPL 2018
New Delhi, Dec 6 (IBNS): The Chennai Super Kings fans have every reason to be hopeful to see former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni back in the yellow jersey as the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council, on Wednesday, allowed all franchises to retain five players for the 11th edition of the tournament.
The Governing Council meeting was attended by the members of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA).
Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, teams banned till 2017 over match-fixing scandal, will return to IPL from 2018.
The players of CSK and RR were shifted to new franchises, Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions.
Dhoni played for Rising Pune Supergiants in last two seasons.
However, Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions will not feature in the 11th edition of the tournament.
The purse money has been by increased for each franchise from Rs. 66 crore to Rs. 80 crore by the council.
The salary cap for the uncapped players have also been increased by the council.
