New Delhi, Oct 10 (IBNS): Delhi Dynamos marquee coach cum player, the Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos got injured during the training session before the first match against Goa and suffered a major fracture in his right hand finger.

He pushed himself to play in Goa since the team needed him but the injury got worse during the game.

Carlos wanted to play for the fans at the first home game against Chennaiyin but couldn't due to his fractured finger.

Commenting on his injury Carlos laughingly said,"I’m thankful to God that it’s just my finger and not my legs or feet.”

He also added, ”Even though I wasn’t playing for the match against Chennaiyin, I’m so glad that the team did a great job and I  hope to be able to join them soon. I want a quick recovery for the fans who came in large numbers to cheer for us in the first home game."

Prashant Agarwal, DDFC President said, “ We, the Delhi Dynamos family wish him a speedy recovery so that he can continue being the asset that he is for the team. We look forward to see him play brilliant football in the upcoming matches.”
