Bhutan to participate in football tournament in Nepal this month

Thimpu: Bhutan's senior football team will be in action soon as the players will participate in the Three Nations Cup 2023 in Nepal.

The Bhutanese men will face Laos in the opening match on Mar 22.

According to the Bhutan Football Federation, the pandemic has robbed the senior men’s national team of opportunities to play in international competitive or friendly matches for the past few years, reports The Bhutan Live.

The other team in the tournament is Nepal.

Nepal won the tournament in 2021.

The friendly matches is to fulfill the BFF’s strategic plan to increase playing time for the senior men’s national team by 30 per cent by the end of this year, reports the news portal.
