Asian Games: Pranab Mukherjee congratulates Indian shooters

New Delhi, Sept 20 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday congratulated Jitu Rai and Shweta Chaudhry for clinching medals in their respective shooting events in the Asian Games at Incheon.

In his message, Mukherjee said: "I would like to extend my congratulations for keeping the country’s flag flying high. My best wishes to you for all future endeavours."

Rai won the men's 50 metre pistol gold in the Asian Games here on Saturday.

China's Wei Pang won the silver while   the bronze medal went to Vietnam's Hoang Phuong Nguyen.

In the women 10m Air Pistol Finals, India's  Shweta Chaudhry won the first medal for the country as she clinched the bronze on Saturday.
