Anshul Mishra claims IGU Tolly Junior Open
Kolkata: Local lad Anshul Mishra continued his rich vein of form as he claimed the IGU Tolly Junior Open title here with a total of 156 at the Par 70 Tollygunge Club on Thursday. He also claimed the Category B title.
Ahaan Gupta, also of Category B, finished runner up nine strokes behind pipping Ramayush Ray to the third place on a better final round score after both were tied at 165. Prashant Agarwal finished in third place of Category B a further four strokes behind Ahaan and fifth overall two strokes behind Suveer Kapoor.
Category C was won by Arjunveer Shishir after he shot a two-day total of 163. Varish Mohta took the second place three strokes behind followed by Lakshya Rampuria a further 14 strokes behind. Shillong’s Aryan Pal won Category D with a resounding victory over the rest of the field having carded 161. Hredaan Raj Bihani was second and Aarav Kajaria third.
Amongst the Girls, Anaahat Bindra won Category B title with a score of 158 over Chittaranjan’s Ananya Roy while Julinka Roy Chowdhury took home the Category D title.
