Abhinansu Borthakur and Manoj Sewa dominate Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Tournament 2017

Kolkata, Sept 16 (IBNS): The duo of Abhinansu Borthakur and Manoj Sewa, seeded 2 in the draw, prevailed over the unseeded pair of Raghu Damani and Raghav Khullar to lift the Men's Open Doubles title at the ongoing Calcutta Hard Court Tennis Tournament 2017, been held at both the synthetic as well as the red clay courts of the prestigious Calcutta South Club.

In the final of Men's Open Doubles, Borthakur and Sewa took less than an hour to dismiss Damani and Khullar by a clean 6-2,6-0.

The Boys Doubles Under 18 title was clinched by the top seeded pair of Pranav Jain adn Roshan Kumar as they drubbed Md Asif and Md Sufian by a straight 6-3,6-1.

The Girls Singles Under 12 and 14 events were bagged by Anoushka Singh and Shimreen Ahamed respectively.

Men's Open Doubles (Final);
Abhinansu Borthakur & Manoj Sewa (2) bt Raghu Damani & Raghav Khullar 6-2,6-0

Boys Doubles Under 18 (Final);
Pranav Jain & Roshan Kumar (1) bt Md Asif & Md Sufian 6-3,6-1

Girls Singles Under 12 (Final);
Anoushka Singh (1) bt Oindrila Sen (2) 6-2,6-0

Girls Singles Under 14 (Final);
Shimreen Ahamed (1) bt Shireen Ahamed (2) 6-3,6-2

Final set of matches will start from 2:00 pm tomorrow, followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony at 5:00 pm tentatively.
