Zee5 webseries Mukti to release on Jan 26

Kolkata/IBNS: 'Mukti', a webseries on Over-the-top (OTT) platform Zee5, is all set for Jan 26 release on the occasion India's Republic Day.

The trailer of the webseries has recently been launched.

Directed by Rohan Ghosh, 'Mukti', set in the pre-Independence era, revolves around political prisoners and the newly appointed deputy jailer Ramkinkar, who is portrayed by prominent Bengali actor Ritwick Chakraborty.

In the trailer, Ramkinkar is seen pitching the idea of a football match between the prisoners and the Britishers.

Apart from Chakraborty, the webseries stars Arjun Chakraborty, Ditipriya Roy, Chitrangada, Chandreyee Ghosh, Sudip Sarkar in distinct roles.

 

"I am fortunate to work with such a team. It has a strong cast and crew. The team is very experienced. I have loved working with them," said Arjun Chakraborty.

Roy, who played Ramkinkar's wife, said, "I was very excited about starring opposite Ritwick da. For the first time, I shared screen space with him. He is one of my favourite actors."

The music in the sports fiction, produced by Fatfish Entertainment, is given by Indradeep Dasgupta.
