Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali film superstar Rituparna Sengupta starrer Madam Sengupta, a murder mystery directed by Sayantan Ghosal, got its trailer recently.

The film stars Rahul Bose, Kaushik Sen, Ananya Chatterjee in key characters.

Actress Rituparna Sengupta said, "I have not done any character like this before and also doing a thriller movie for the first time. I'm very hopeful and this is my first work with Sayantan (Sayantan Ghoshal, director), he loves adventure and thriller more than any other genre."

The film stars Rahul Bose, Kaushik Sen, Ananya Chatterjee in key characters.

It has the essence of the iconic composition of Sukumar Ray's Abol Tabol with a twist of thrill.

Director Sayantan Ghosal said, "The most exciting thing to me is to work with Ritu-di (Rituparna Sengupta), Ananya-di (Ananya Chatterjee) and Anupam-da (Anupam Roy) for the first time. I told Ritu-di that we would do a film which you haven't done before."

The film revolves around a celebrated cartoonist (Rituparna Sengupta) who is grieving her daughter's murder and eventually drawn into a menacing plot where literature, politics and revenge coiled up, forcing her to unravel a web of enigmatic hints before the killer strikes again.

Singer and music director Anupam Roy said, “This film has only one song which depicts separation. Both male and female versions of the song were sung by me and Shilpa Rao. Sayantan shared his thoughts with me and accordingly I tried to make a song to sync with the storyline.”

This motion picture also includes Paran Bandyopadhyay, Kharaj Mukherjee, Subrata Dutta, Indrani Bhattacharyya, Shantilal Mukherjee, Subrata Ganguly, Raunak Dey Bhowmick, Ratan Sarkhel.

It is set to make a theatrical release on July 4.
