SRFTI pays floral tribute to Satyajit Ray on his 96th birth anniversary

Kolkata, May 3 (IBNS) Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) paid floral tributes to the great film maestro Satyajit Ray at his residence on his 96th birth anniversary on Monday.

A team of SRFTI led by  Debanjan Chakraborti, Director of the institute as also the Additional Director General (M & C) of PIB went to the residence of Satyajit Ray to pay their homage.

They were received by Sandip Ray, film- maker and also the son of the legendary film-maker and they informed him of the special initiative of SRFTI to hold a series of seminars termed ‘Spectrum Satyajit’ on the occasion of Ray’s 96th birth anniversary from May 7, 2016.

Amaresh Chakraborty, the Acting Dean and Shri Anindya Acharya, the Registrar of the institute were also there to pay floral tributes.
