Filmmaker duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's massive hit Bengali film Bohurupi was screened in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The film had a special screening at a packed house recently.

Following its resounding success in the Netherlands, Bohurupi has also made waves in several other international cities with special screenings, including Sydney, Brisbane, Texas, Boston.

Speaking on the film's international success, Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee said, "We are overjoyed to witness how Bohurupi has touched hearts worldwide. This is not just a victory for the film but a proud moment for Bengali cinema as a whole.

"It proves that good stories can transcend all borders and bring people together."

Bohurupi, which was released on October 8 last year on the occasion of Durga Puja, features Abir Chatterjee, Koushani Mukherjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty and Shiboprosad Mukherjee in the lead.

The film is a gripping confrontation between a dacoit and a determined police officer.

While the dacoit is played by Shiboprosad, Abir features as a cop.
