Kolkata/IBNS: 'Khushi Ki Eid', the first song from veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty starrer 'Kabuliwala', was unveiled by the makers, Jio Studios and SVF Entertainment, on Thursday.

The song, which is composed by Indraadip Das Gupta, was sung by Javed Ali.

The video encapsulates the essence of an extraordinary bond between Rahmat and Mini along the heartwarming celebration of Eid.

At its core, 'Khusi Ki Eid' carries a profound message, asserting that the threads of caste and creed are inconsequential.

Instead, the heartbeat of the narrative pulsates underscoring the belief that genuine connections transcend societal labels.

The video introduces viewers to the cast featuring Abir Chatterjee, Anumegha Kahali, along with Mithun Chakraborty.

The film, which is directed by Suman Ghosh, is based on Rabindranath Tagore's short story 'Kabuliwala'.

Mithun Chakraborty takes the center stage in the role of Rahmat, a character that resonates across generations, promising to rekindle the emotional warmth that touched hearts years ago.

The tale of Rahmat, set against the bustling cityscape of Kolkata in 1965, unfolds as an Afghan man's paternal love overflows for a little girl named Mini.

Portrayed by child actor Anumegha Kahali, the film explores the universal themes of love that knows no boundaries, transcending both geographical borders and cultural divides.

Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar step into the roles of Mini's parents, enriching the narrative with their compelling performances.

The film is scheduled to release on December 22 on the occasion of Christmas.
