Kolkata/IBNS: The poster and teaser of actor-politician Joy Sengupta and Saayoni Ghosh starrer upcoming Bengali film City of Jackals was unveiled last week in the city.

The film deals with an early middle aged working class man who by chance discovers a bag full of money.

Money, what has been his basic concern till date for a better life now drives his life to some unexpected dark corners.

Joy, who was also present at the teaser launch event, said, "This film is a completely independent, low-budget film with no resources... It is extremely difficult to make these kinds of films."

Speaking about the role, Saayoni said, "I played a very de-glammed character who used to live in the slums but she has aspiration and ambition for a good life. Now the question is whether she will fall in the trap or not."

"The challenge is always to work with a new director as we actors have to understand their psyche," she added.

The film, which also stars Shantilal Mukherjee, Kharaj Mukherjee in key roles, is produced by Prarthana Retail Projects & Muvi Tuvi Media Pvt Ltd.
