Kolkata/IBNS: As the trailer of Debdut Ghosh's 'Aador' dropped on Monday, actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, who will be seen in the film in a special appearance, said he is happy that the movie is having a theatrical release and not on OTT.

Speaking to IBNS at the trailer launch, Chakrabarty said, "There are many films that don't get released in cinema halls, but on OTT platforms only.

"I was quite skeptical about 'Aador' releasing at the box office but ultimately it will be released on the big screen and I am quite happy about it."

Directed by Debdut Ghosh, the film stars Basabdatta Chattopadhay, Tulika Basu and Manashi Sinha while Sabyasachi Chakrabarty will be seen in a special appearance.

Lead actor Rajatava Dutta said, "On an honest note, we'd have been disappointed if the movie hadn't been at the box office."

"We can put it up on big screens  for our audience to see now," he said.

The film has been shot in a village in Tripura and the plot revolves around a young female elephant (Aador) bought by village lawyer Joyram Mukherjee (Rajatava Dutta) with moderate income where after his retirement he had the responsibility of getting his grand daughter married but as he couldn't afford the expenses, he had no other choice but to sell his foster daughter Ador under the pressure of his family.
