Mumbai, Aug 16 (IBNS): Bollywood actor and producer, Saif Ali Khan turned 46 on Tuesday.

Born as Sajid Ali Khan to actress Sharmila Tagore and former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Saif fooled his mother's footsteps and pursued a career in showbiz.

He made his debut in Yash Chopra's Parampara (1993) but tasted success with Main Khiladi Tu Anari, which released a year later.

After a decade and half of playing the romantic hero, Saif changed guard and took up different roles.

While his portrayal of Langda Tyagi, a villainous character won him accolades, a foul-mouthed 'Boris' in Go Goa Gone won the critics over.

Saif is six-time Filmfare Award winner along with a National Film Award for Best Actor.
