Mumbai, Mar 15 (IBNS) Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt turned 23 on Tuesday as she celebrates her birthday.

Born in 1993 to filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan, Alia made her debut in  Student of the Year (2012).

Though she managed to impress the audience, it was with her next movie Highway that Alia caught the attention of the critics.

She topped that with two other hits, 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya.

Though her latest release Shaandaar bombed at the box-office, she managed to retain her fame.

Alia is also the recipient of a Filmfare Critics Awards for her performance in Highway.

On her birthday, as fans poured in their wishes, the actress wrote on Twitter: "Thankkkkkkk you all !! Sooo much love... Makes me smile wider and wider every minute!!! Big big big hug."
