WB observes longest human chain against open defecation
The Nadia district administration organised the longest human chain against open defecation in jubilant and enthusiastic manner at Nadia district in West Bengal on Friday (Feb 20, 2015). Systematic microplanning was done to cover the entire stretch of 122.3km from Jaguli to Plassey. Cultural programs at 93 venues were organized and local folk singers participated to woo the participants. At the main venue of Krishnagar, dignitaries like MIC, MoS of State Govt, Ashadur Rahman, Chief of Kolkata Office, UNICEF, Dibyendu Sarkar, Commissioner, P& RD dept, S.N.Dave, UNICEF, Savadhiati, NZP,Chairman, State Khadi Board ,MP and MLA were present. District Magistrate presided over the meeting.
