New Delhi, May 9 (UNI): A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi used INS Virat as a 'personal taxi', Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said Modi 's recent statements, interviews and videos were giving India the distinct feeling that he was cracking under pressure.

In a post on social media, Gandhi said the PM was perhaps nervous about the Lok Sabha election results.

''Dear Mr Modi, Your recent statements, interviews & videos are giving India the distinct feeling that you're cracking under pressure. You are, however, certainly right to be nervous about the results,'' he tweeted.

The comments by the Congress president came a day after the Prime Minister, addressing a rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, alleged that late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi used INS Virat as a 'personal taxi'.

The statement has evoked sharp condemnation from Congress, which has charged the PM of speaking 'lies' for electoral gains.
