Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma Tuesday said his National People's Party will not compromise its identity or stance while referring to his government’s friendly ties with the NDA government at the Centre.

Speaking on the theme "Regional realignment: Going beyond the bipolar narrative" at the fifth edition of India Today Conclave East, NPP chief Conrad Sangma said, “I strongly believe the NDA government gives special focus on the northeast."

Referring to his stand against the Citizenship Amendment Act, the Meghalaya CM said "nothing is flawless".

On cracking the code to deal with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, "We have been focusing at grassroots-level and we even got an award for having the best ecosystem for entrepreneurship. We get all the support from the Centre."
