Woman who was attacked with chilli powder in Sabrimala will file contempt of court petition against govt in SC

Kochi/UNI: A lecturer at Kannur University Bindu Ammini and a member of six-member team led by Social Activist Trupti Desai, on Tuesday said she will file a contempt of court petition against the Kerala government in the Supreme Court after the  police  had denied protection for their visit to Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala.

Ammini was attacked with chilli powder when she came to the office of the City Police Commissioner here. Following the attack, Ammini was taken to Ernakulam General Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the State Women's Commission will take stringent action against those who attacked Ammini with chilli powder.

Police had taken into custody the person who attacked Ammini with chilli powder.
